Schedule of Fees
FirstHand Travel charges professional service fees for travel planning, booking, administration and specialist services. These fees reflect the time, expertise and resources required to research, design and manage your travel arrangements.
All fees are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST where applicable.
Travel Plan Fees

Discovery
The Discovery phase is designed to establish the structure and direction of your journey. It may include destination recommendations, segment planning, routing suggestions and high-level transport guidance between locations.
Discovery fees include one round of clarification and refinement based on the information provided during the discovery process.
Significant changes to the travel brief, destination selections, travel style, timing or other material requirements after work has commenced may require a revised Discovery and may attract additional fees.
Design
The Design phase expands upon the approved Discovery and develops the detailed structure of your journey. This may include accommodation recommendations, transport planning, activities, destination guidance and day-by-day travel design.
Design fees are calculated based on the number of travel days included within the itinerary.
Design fees are based on the approved Discovery brief. Requests to substantially alter destinations, routing, travel style or other previously agreed requirements after design work has commenced may require a revised Design and may attract additional fees.

Frequent Flyer Redemptions
Frequent flyer redemption services include researching, planning and securing reward bookings using airline loyalty points.
Availability of reward seats is controlled by the airline and cannot be guaranteed. The availability, routing, cabin class, airline selection or travel dates requested by a client may not always be achievable using points.
Where extensive alternative routing, additional consultation, multiple redemption strategies or significant reworking is required beyond the original brief, additional service fees may apply. Any additional fees will be discussed and agreed before further work is undertaken.
Administration Fees

Important Notes
- Supplier fees, airline penalties, cancellation charges and fare differences are additional to any FirstHand Travel service fees.
- Service fees are generally non-refundable once work has commenced.
- Some complex travel arrangements may require customised pricing where the scope of work falls outside our standard service offerings.
- Any additional fees will be discussed and agreed before further work is undertaken.
- The itinerary cancellation fee covers the administration involved in cancelling your travel arrangements. Additional fees may apply where multiple suppliers or significant extra work is involved. Any additional fees will be discussed with you before work proceeds.
